On departure day 16.Feb.98. I has been very busy to prepare several days meals during my absence. My husband said,"Why are you looks so busy? Are you going to visit to your mother?" I said,"I'm going to Sydney not Mitoney(my mother's place)." He said,"I cannot make head or tail of it. Sydney?!" He was speechless with amazement, and then he reconciled. I didn't talk about my travel to my two sons, and the wall was covered with a table of housework which I wanted them done. And then I left home at evening like a runaway. On my way to Tokyo Airport, I began to wonder to myself whether I am selfish or not. My mother is hospitalized. My husband and two sons can't do housework at all, so they are inconvenienced when I am away. But, I also tried to defend myself. I always do housework earnestly even then I have fever. So, I think It is allowed me to have only several days Cliff's chase a year. I took the 20:30 Qantas flight to Sydney, 10 hours flight. Qantas is famous for no-accident. But, in-flight service was rough. When we were at dinner, trays were swept over our heads, paper cups were rolled over an aisle. But, I didn't mind at all, because safety is the best service of an airline company. The plane arrived at The Sydney International Airport at 8:00 morning. . I came from midwinter Tokyo to midsummer Sydney The sunlight in summer was very bright. The day before yesterday it was snow in Tokyo. So extreme different weather made me embarrassed. It was first visit, but I didn't feel somehow out of place in Sydney. I stayed at a cheap and moldy hotel in Chinatown. |
