The review of my book by music writer Mr. Kitai

      Over 40 years glorious career, still making No.1 hit in U.K., a national hero artist---These are a customary epithet whenever I introduce Sir Cliff Richard to Japanese music fans.  In comparison with his popularity in U.K., Cliff is underestimated in Japan.  My frustration with bad situation about Cliff gradually increased as a fan and as a writer.  And I became to know this book.

      First I was very surprised at the publication in Japan where has such a drought season about Cliff, second I was again surprised at knowing that the writer is a housewife.  This unique book is not a biography or data book.  She accepted everything concerning Cliff to her own private life.  She became a Christian, majored in The History of Britain at University and she lived in London for one year in 1976: Cliff’s Renaissance year .  Most part of her book is about Cliff’ concert 1992- 99 .  She writes a clear and interesting sentence which is not affected, but straight.  And her sentence has a persuasive power as if I am at Cliff’s concert.  My hobby = music became my main business, so I am capable of loss of pure mind about music.  I envy her dazzling straightness.
