Introduction

     Thank you very much for your visit to my home page.  This is not information, data page, but my essay page in my own way.  I am  Japanese, but I managed to write this page in English.

     We Japanese fans have wonderful Japanese site featuring lots of information In Japanese, interesting pictures of Cliff touring Japan.  We enjoy it very much.  I cannot compete with it in information and data.  That is the reason why I make my unique page in English.

     I think that my English writing is a bit strange, I can’t translate Japanese nuance into English perfectly.  There are a lot of mistakes and impolite, improper expressions on this page, “ Pardon me”.

     But I do hope “ Can you spare a little time for me?”.

     May I introduce myself?

I am 54 years-old housewife (born in 1950).  I have been Cliff fan for 40 years from 1964.  I became Christian when I was 16 in 1966, because Cliff’s statement of faith had considerable influence upon me.  I am a member of Japan Anglican Church.  My husband is a vicar, and so I especially love Cliff’s Christian songs.

I love Britain and I majored in The History of Britain at university.  I lived in London for 1 year in 1976=Cliff's Renaissance year.  I listened to ‘I’m nearly famous’ album many times.  During 1978-1991, I was very busy to bring up two sons.  And I started again to visit to London to enjoy Cliff concerts from 1992.

Whenever I enjoyed his concerts, I wrote my own way essay (in Japanese) which were often appeared in Japan branch of ICRM fan magazine.  And essays gained popularity among fans and friends. 

I published my essay book in April 2001.  Japanese fans had many articles about Cliff on music magazine during 1964-1976.  But, as a book, this is exactly first book about Cliff in Japan.
